By provision dated August 23rd 2024 and through the competent office OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control), US Department of State and US Treasury Department sanctioned approximately 400 entrepreneurs around the world, accused of violating USA rules and sanctions against Russia with regard to its aggression against Ukraine.
There are currently four Italian individuals and two Italian companies among the sanctioned entities. The case is particularly interesting from a legal point of view due to the implications it might also entail in the future to Italian entrepreneurs who must, in fact, comprehend the sanctions range and the importance of observing them in order to avoid serious damage.
