Only few Italian law firms operate actually in Eastern Europe, despite the area is represented by approximately 10% of Italian exports and counts on the presence and activity of one exporting company out of six. Among these few firms, Tonucci & Partners stands out with its offices in both Tirana (Albania) and Bucharest (Romania), where it pioneered the establishment of Italian legal advice distinguished in carrying out Italian and international deals in Eastern European markets, also thanks to the teamwork with the Italian offices and, in particular, respectively with those of Padua and Trieste. In Romania, 98% of the clients are Italian companies, while in Albania the legal assistance is addressed to a more international business perspective.
As pointed out by Pasquale Silvestro of Tonucci & Partners in the article of Il Sole 24 Ore, “at the beginning it was about assisting companies that, at their arrival in these countries, needed a legal representative to take care of the company foundation, the purchase of agricultural land or of drafting employment contracts. Now – continues Pasquale Silvestro – the advising activity is much broader and ours is not only legal assistance, but also strategic one, in order to cooperate with other Italian companies helping them create and establish networking”.
