Hélène Thibault of Tonucci & Partners attended as speaker the round table “Esports, exploring for a sustainable ecosystem: the Italian challenge and the European models”, as part of IGE – Italian Gaming Expo which took place on April 18^th 2024.

Discussing the Italian context regarding Esports, defined as professionally organized video game competitions, Hélène Thibault pointed out that Italy, lacking a clear and defined legislation, absent as of to date, risks to not fully exploit the sector’s potentiality. In particular, an appropriate regulation would promote the growth of the entire sector by attracting investments, excellence in the field and quality of entertainment.
