Tar of Abruzzo ruled on January 2022 by annulling the provision regarding the expansion of Ovindoli ski area. According to environmentalists, the construction of the new tracks would have jeopardized the habitat of some animal species, including ursini viper. Tonucci & Partners, with partner Piergiuseppe Venturella and the coordination by partners Giorgio Altieri and Gianluca Bocchino, was assigned by Abruzzo Municipality to contest this Tar stop, urging the re-evaluation of the decision “in search of a correct balance between environmental protection and development of tourism and sporting activities”, taking into consideration also the District’s long-standing and multi-year territorial planning and the special territorial Project regarding ski areas in particular that of “Ovindoli Monte Magnola” area, dating back to 2008.
