The “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency” conference, organized by Energynomics in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania (CCIpR), took place on Tuesday November 19th 2024 in Bucharest. CCIpR Vice President, Pasquale Silvestro of Tonucci & Partners, chaired the panel “Critical approaches to increasing green energy production”, which was attended by sector experts discussing several strategies to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable energy. Key topics such as the importance of emerging technologies and the necessity for more consistent institutional support through tax incentives and sustainable finance instruments were addressed, by underlining the crucial contribution of local energy communities and public-private collaboration. The speakers also pointed out the imperativeness of international cooperation to overcome regulatory barriers and develop innovative solutions by financing them.  This meeting confirmed that the energy transition is a complex challenge but full of economic and social opportunities, a target that can only be reached and achieved through collaboration and shared vision.
