The publication of all necessary regulations regarding the implementation of online gaming sector reorganization is now imminent. Legislative Decree no. 41 dated March 25th 2024 was published in the Official Journal of April 3rd 2024 and, implementing Article 15 of the so-called Tax Proxy – Delega Fiscale (Law no. 111 dated August 9th 2023), contains provisions regarding the reorganization of the gaming sector. The decree, which is in force since April 4th , reports the discipline of public games authorized in Italy, and, in particular, those “at a distance”.
On one hand, there is the awareness that the reorganization of this sector is not expected to be simple, while on the other hand, the regulatory mechanism at issue and its upcoming integration represent an interesting challenge, especially on a legal level.
