Personal data protection Authority has recently approved the Outlines of Conduct regarding telemarketing and teleselling activities. This is an important novelty aimed to regulate a sector subject to continuous critical issues in terms of privacy and ground of repeated sanctions. It is also by all means useful to all those who (i) carry out call center activities directly, (ii) use call center services provided by third parties and/or (iii) in general acquire contact lists from third parties. Although it is a code of conduct, the endorsement of the Authority makes it a reference point to a correct interpretation and application of GDPR in telemarketing and teleselling sector.
