The new website concerning STEWART project, an international initiative related to the development of innovative and sustainable models of floating photovoltaics (FPV), co-financed by the European Union, is now online.
The project aims at defining a scientific and environmentally friendly approach to the design and deployment of floating photovoltaic systems, promoting the usage of inland waters and coastal areas, contributing thus to the protection of land resources. In this light, STEWART fits perfectly into the path outlined by the European Green Deal and the broader transition to a clean and sustainable energy system.
Tonucci & Partners, with a team led by Stefano Lucarini, participates in the project within an international consortium that brings together research institutes, universities and companies, including Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, HelioRec, Innosea, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, Sapienza Rome University and Ege Üniversitesi, together with further partners who contribute with their expertise in the fields of energy, water management, legal services and research.
