ARBITRATORS, VIRTUAL HEARING IS THE NORMAL NEW BUT THERE ARE STILL SOME PENDING ISSUES.

Contribution by Carlo Scarpa and Francesca Regazzo of Tonucci & Partners on Diritto 24 – Il Sole 24Ore with the article ”Arbitrators, virtual hearing is the normal new, but there are still some pending issues”. International arbitration rises to the challenge of Covid-19 and strives to replace the in-attendance hearing with the one taken by videoconference. This solution, which is likely to be used even after the emergency period, despite the best measures taken, does not seem to overlap with the traditional one. We hope that the in-attendance hearing will remain a possible alternative, although in exceptional circumstances and by taking all the necessary precautions.
